Yes, yet another adventure is in the works.  But this one has a little twist.

Setting sail with us will be some of Arrivederci's favorite musicians.  That's right, Arrivederci is taking to the high seas and we hope to bring you along!  Star Clipper's has invited Marianna Thielen & Reese Marshburn to be your onboard entertainment, along with Dennis Caiazza on bass & vocals AND a certain sax player.

Here's how the adventure begins ~

We set sail aboard the Star Clipper, a 379 foot long, 4 masted sailing ship.  This is a true clipper ship reflecting it's proud heritage in every inch of it's polished brass and gleaming brightwork.  Step aboard this unique vessel and discover a new age of sailing, where the traditions of the past are happily married to the comforts and amenities of the present day.  Star Clipper is a modern cruise ship in every way, created for luxury-loving passengers who also love the traditions and romance of the legendary era of sailing ships.

We sail out of Venice, Italy down the Grand Canal on Sat., August 20, 2016.  We recommend at least 2 nights in Venice, either pre-cruise or post.  Venice is a city you can get lost in....whether on foot or via the vaporettos {water taxis}.  It is a city sited on a group of 118 small islands separated by canals and linked by bridges.

We spend the first day sailing down the Dalmatian Coast towards Dubrovnik, Croatia, arriving in Dubrovnik on Monday the 22nd.  Spend all day exploring the Old Town, pubs and restaurants.  It's a beautiful city with much history, both ancient and recent.

Day 4:  Kotor, Montenegro-  You will be rewarded if you set your alarm for an early getup for this stop, because part of the fun is entering the Bay of Kotor and gliding for an hour through the mountains on a 17-mile waterway that some people call Europe's southernmost fjord.  It's not acutally a fjord, as fjords are caused by glacial activity, and the Bay of Kotor is the result of an old river running from the interior to the Adriatic Sea.  Still the views are fjord-like, with mountains rising on both sides of a long, thin bay that leads to the old walled town of Kotor.

Day 5:  Korcula, Croatia-  An Island in the Adriatic Sea, just off the Dalmatian Coast.  Rich in vineyards, olive groves and small villages, and harboring a glorious old town, the island of Korcula is the sixth-largest Adriatic islalnd, stretching nearly 47km in length.  Lots of wine sampling for all you oenophiles.
{wine lovers....and that would be US!}

Day 6:  Mali Losinj, Croatia-  Croatia's best-kept secret:  The tiny island of Losinj is big on wellness, secluded beaches and tranquil fishing villages.  Every summer Europeans vacation in droves to Croatia, but one island has been curiously overlooked:  Losinj.  It may not compete with Dubrovnik or Split, yet it offers the classic Mediterranean idyll, terrific food, superb climate, low prices and uncrowded beaches.  One of the reasons for Losinj's obscurity is it's not easy to get there.  Lucky for us, that won't be a problem!  And once you feel the Mediterranean sun on your back and watch the Adriatic sparkling at you through a glass of chilled Istrian white wine - ideally at the Borik Bar on the beach - you'll be glad that it's a journey that not everyone takes the effort to make.

Day 7:  Piran Slovenia-  Piran is a town in the Municipality of Piran in southwestern Slovenia on the Gulf of Piran on the Adriatic Sea.  It is one of the three major towns of Slovenian Istria.  The town has much medieval architecture, with narrow streets and compact houses.  Piran, "The Dream City, is one of the most photoge nic cities in the Mediterranean.
